The TempleCon 2009 multi-genre gaming convention is coming to the glorious Providence Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Providence on the weekend of February 6th-8th, 2009. Now in its fourth year and featuring a steampunk theme, TempleCon is an annual event that hosts a variety of casual and competitive games in a luxurious social setting, including board games, role-playing games, video games, collectible card games, and table-top miniatures gaming.
TempleCon 2009 will be hosting the Northeast Regional Qualifier for the Vampire: the Eternal Struggle collectible card game; one of only seven WARMACHINE miniatures Hardcore events in history plus WARMACHINE and HORDES miniatures Championship Tournaments; Xbox 360 tournaments in our LAN video gaming room; Warhammer 40K miniatures events; a Flames of War miniatures Late War Eastern Front Northeast Regional Qualifier; a North American Diplomacy Federation Grand Prix tournament; a Legend of the Five Rings Samurai format tournament; multiple Magic: the Gathering collectible card game events; multiple Dungeons and Dragons and Call of Cthulhu role-playing events as well as Deadlands and Unhallowed Metropolis role-playing events; a fully-stocked board game room with favorites such as Ticket to Ride, Arkham Horror, and Tannhauser; Munchkin and other Steve Jackson Games events; and World of Darkness live-action role-playing, with game demonstrations and myriad other gaming events as well.
The TempleCon 2009 art show features Guest of Honor Artist Heather V. Kreiter, best known for her work on the collectible card games Vampire: the Eternal Struggle and Warlord. The art show will also include artwork on a steampunk and sci-fi/fantasy theme by both emerging and established artists, and a variety of dealers will be selling games and related items in our expo space. This event also features a miniatures painting contest and a weekend-long steampunk costume contest with a hand-crafted steampunk accessory prize provided by Graven Images. Industry Guests of Honor at the convention include Privateer Press' Press Gang Quartermaster Dan “Biggie” Brandt and Developer Kevin Clark.
If there is a game that you love that you do not see listed among TempleCon's events, please consider joining us as a game-master and running your favorite games. All game-masters receive free admission to the convention for the day(s) of their event, as well as a discount on the TempleCon T-shirt. Game-masters who run events throughout the weekend get the TempleCon T-shirt for free, in addition to free admission to the convention.

Pre-reg here! Pre-registration is $10 per day for Friday only or Sunday only, $20 per day for Saturday only, and $35 for the weekend, and our group rate and military/student rates save you even more! On-site registration at the convention is $15 per day for Friday or Sunday only, $25 per day for Saturday only, and $50 for the weekend, with a military/student rate of $45 for the weekend.
